The 2016 Nairobi launch of This is Africa (TIA) – a platform that celebrates and engenders freedom of speech. The event was a celebration of Africanism, freedom of expression and the quintessential elements that make Africa what it is: a continent of opportunity, growth and innovation. The glittering launch was an alchemy of food, music and words graced by well-known celebrities, top influencers in business, politics, entertainment and the non-profit sector along with individuals commanding some of the biggest audiences on Twitter and Blogs in East Africa.
