Stella Mwangi still on her A-Game! Yesterday (Oslo, Norway 18th April 2017) she was a special guest at the launch of Tommy Jeans 90s collection Spring 2017 at the YME Universe store. This comes after her song WORK was picked to create promotional material for Tommy Hilfiger’s high profile TommyLand Concert earlier on this year.

 

Stella’s invite to the show at YME Universe store, one of the biggest fashion stores in Scandinavia where top fashion designers launch and showcase their products, was exclusive and something revered by many industry players in Europe. She also makes history by becoming the first Kenyan artiste to meet up and collaborate with Tommy Hilfiger executives. Looks like her music might be featuring at more high profile shows upcoming.

STELLA MWANGI BEATS DAVID GUETTA AND SEAN PAUL IN ITALY RADIO CHART WITH “WORK”

On Saturday (22nd April 2017), her song WORK made its debut in Rome, Italy’s Dance Planet Top 20 Chart by DJ Damasco on Radio Antenna Uno, streaming via http://www.radioantennauno.it/ Landing straight on number 19, Stella Mwangi surpassed David Guetta, RobinShulz and Cheat Code’s SHED A LIGHT and Sean Paul’s mega hit ROCKABYE. She is now on the Dance Planet Top 20 Chart by DJ Damasco alongside artistes such as Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and The Chainsmokers.

CALVO MISTARI TEAMS UP WITH AMOS & JOSH IN NEW MUSIC VIDEO – “UREMBO”

 

Kenyan Rapper Calvo Mistari collaborates with sensational duo Amos & Josh in inspiring single UREMBO off his to be-released second album set for release in 2017. The video of the song directed by Odibz for Team Mistari Production, features cameos from different women of shape, colour, height and looks. Among the ladies are renowned Kenyan radio and TV presenters: Adelle Onyango, Mwalimu Racheal, Kalekye Mumo, Nderaisho Mshila, Shiko Kaittany and musicians: Sage, Phy Ng’etich, Ashley Diva, Kambua, Olive Kerman and Miss Tee. Blogger Eve Mathenge also makes a cameo.


The song is produced by Dillie under House of Dillie and written by Calvin Kirimba, Amos Muema, Simani Joshua and Hubert Amenya. The Bass Guitar was played by Tom Olang’. Other instruments played and arranged by Fredrick Wang’ombe.

UREMBO celebrates a woman’s character as what is truly beautiful in a woman, and inspired by the need to talk to women directly about what beauty is perceived as by both men and women. Speaking about the song and video, Calvo said, “I involved all these powerful and beautiful women in this project with the aim of speaking to a girl out there who has been poisoned by the world around her to believe that beauty can only be one-sided – urembo ni wewe!”

SAUTI SOL AND VANESSA MDEE SET TO HEADLINE THE GIDI CULTURE FESTIVAL (15TH APRIL 2017) IN LAGOS, NIGERIA
